Forensic Accountant Senior/Assistant Manager - Edinburgh

This Forensic Accounting Senior/Assistant Manager job in Edinburgh with a highly respected firm of chartered accountants and business advisors is an outstanding opportunity to develop your career in this fascinating sector, without the need for any prior experience of direct forensic accounting as full training and support will be given.  The firm offers a full range of forensic, insolvency and corporate recovery services to clients across the UK and is widely recognised by fellow practitioners as offering a “best in class” approach and network.

As part of the Forensic Accounting team, you will be an integral member of the team and be supported in all aspects of your training by being exposed to key areas of forensic accounting such as:

• Involvement in all stages of forensic accounting assignments working under the guidance and supervision of managers/partners
• Initial document review and data analysis
• Initial drafting of sections of the forensic report and preparation of appendices
• Undertaking work on court-appointed Judicial Factories as and when necessary.
• Assisting the Insolvency Team in relation to investigations/litigation/realisations in insolvency casework or other such financial assignments.

To be successful, it is envisaged that you will have financial investigation experience from work in, for example, a firm of accountants, lawyers, the Crown Office, HMRC or banking and have a genuine interest in forensic accounting and data analysis.  You will have a keen eye for detail and be able to articulate your thoughts well, both verbally and in writing.  Full training and support towards professional qualifications will be offered to the successful candidate.

The salary and benefits package offered will be commensurate with experience and background, but we anticipate appointing at the £35-50,000 + Benefits level.  Hybrid working (1 day per week from home) is also available.
